Avalon Pop Warner Cheerleading History Avalon Pop Warner is starting its 10th Season. Success Since the beginning of our program, Avalon Pop Warner Cheer has been Nationally Ranked sending teams to the National Championship every year, even winning the National Title in 2005. Opportunity Our program provides cheerleaders with an opportunity to perform in an organized, supervised, safe environment with girls their own age. Our program is designed to inspire youth through teaching dedication, team work, friendship, leadership and good sportsmanship. Participation Pop Warner has no tryouts and every child who wishes to participate has a place on the Squad. Pop Warner Spirit Squads maintain careful safety standards. If your child wishes to participate in cheerleading, Pop Warner is an excellent choice. Volunteers Our volunteers are dedicated to making your child’s experience a positive one and making cheerleading a fun learning experience with lessons that follow far beyond the spirit of cheering. Also, we require our volunteers/coaches to attend training programs that teach the latest cheerleading techniques and safety protocol. Scholarships Pop Warner is the only national organization that requires academic success as well as athletic achievement. Pop Warner has given out well over $500,000 in college scholarships to the top scholars. Scholarship opportunities are available at the Mid Florida, Southeast Region and National Levels. Beyond Pop Warner Pop Warner is the number one High School Cheerleading Feeder Program in the World. Avalon Wolves is affiliated with Timber Creek High School. In fact, the Timber Creek Cheerleaders help coach and choreograph our Cheer Routines. Good Luck to our 2010 Midgets as they get ready for high school tryouts in April/May!!!!
